Summary: Successfully took LAI measurements, swapped 7500A
| Arrived at 9:35. The weather was clear and sunny with a little breeze. The corn grew taller than Kyle. The wash reservoir was mostly full, but was topped off. The radiation sensors and EC sensors were cleaned. BattV varies blt11.5 + 11.65 Soil is very dry -> VWC < 0.1 dfPAR CR10X serial number: sn 31308 Swapped the 7500 for calibration: Coming Down: sn 75H-2182 Going Up: sn 75H-2668 LI7500 readings: CO2 401.2 -> 393.5 H2O 699.1 -> 702.3 T 24.4 -> 25.8 P 101.7 -> 101.3 SS 85.4 -> 99.3 The 7700 looked pretty clean. There was a clock sync error. Daphne reset the box. LI7700 readings: CH4 1.94 RSSI 73.7 (after cleaning) Successfully gathered data on the LAI. Took auto-logging data on Y-wand, but cut logging off before full 20 minutes—set up auto-logging first next time. First set of single wand data BCSC0726 was a scattering file that should be used for calibration. The next file—BC0726—consisted of a few measurements outside of the canopy and a few underneath. Final file—BC0726B—was taken one measurement above, one measurement below for five measurements within the canopy. Will develop a more consistent procedure before taking measurements in the field next time. Changed vegetation height procedure. While sampling biomass, the height of the plants in the first 30 cm in each sampling site was measured. At alternating sites, plants were taken as samples from the first 30 cm.
