Summary: Standard fieldwork, tried to install compute stick.
| Vaira 2016-10-13 I arrived about 9am with Siyan. It was mild and mostly cloudy. Things are very dry and the trees are starting to turn brown. The water hole is dry and dusty. Rain coming tomorrow though. We drove down toward the pond we are going to monitor but the road is rough and I was not sure where to go exactly. I tried to install a compute stick with cell modem, but I forgot the multiport serial box and I could not get the screen resolution to work right. There is some cell signal and the modem was able to connect to the network, but did not connect to mrspoc but I did not try hard. In the end I left the Raspberry Pi running and brought the screen in to test. We did the standard fieldwork: data, soil moisture, spectral, and cleaned the radiometers. Made sure the tipping bucket was clean. |
