Summary: Worked on auto upload code, restarted co2 profile, serviced zcams, Floor solar battery exploded, tree survey continued.

I arrived about 11am with Siyan. It was warm, sunny and clear with a breeze from the west. Still lots of flowers on the ground but most of the grasses have seeded and died. The pond looks like it is receding a bit.

I checked on the computer. The auto upload code was running but a bug in the code was not letting it send data. I replaced the main code with a new, cleaned up version and it ran better, but still had trouble sending. It seems the task that sends the data gets hung up and will not let another instance start. I tried to change the task settings to end the tasks after one hour. No data the next day, so something is still not working quite right.

I set up the Li-820 CO2 profile system. The program does not upload properly if you use the new Loggernet V4. Using the older V3 seems to work okay. Solenoid number 4 seems to get stuck sometimes but I let it run. I calibrated the system.

I tried to setup the Forerunner / Eosense 1kppm CO2 probes on a CR6 but the readings were weird and I couldnâ€™t figure out why. So I took them back down to test in the lab again.

The radiation sensors were clean and HMP45 fans running.

I serviced the zcams. The windows were pretty dirty.

I swapped the CFM cards on the CR1000s and collected data from the Floor computer. I think I left Siyanâ€™s USB drive plugged into the tower computer with most of the data on it. Siyan will look for it next Tuesday when she will meet folks from UC Davis there.

When I went to turn on the Floor fence, I noticed that one of the four solar power batteries had exploded. The top was partially blown off and the side cracked. The power system seemed to be running fine and I had no way to move the broken battery so I left it as is. All the batteries are from 2012 so it is probably time to swap them anyway.

Siyan was working on a tree survey.
