Summary: Swapped IRGAs; fixed Licor sensor; reinstalled commercial voltage converter; swapped T/RH sensors.

1200 At Vaira Ranch

Solar system Aok. Batt volt 13.8 v; gen 6.8 amp, drawing 2.2 amp.

Some wild flowers are growing in the area.

Swapped IRGAs: sn 0065 came off and sn 0041 went on.

1237 Fixed LICOR Line sensor. Reinstalled the commericial voltage converter, 604 ohm resistor. The old one was eaten by a cow and I had a 604 ohm resistor across bnc terminals. Ted changed the program so a 520 micromol m-2 s-1/mv calibration factor is used. We need to recalibrate the line sensor. Checked its output in full sun with the PAR sensor. PAR was about 1600 and the line was about 1300. It was dirty. Tried to clean it, but did not affect signal enough.

Swapped out dead T/RH sensor. New one could not fit through holes so had to rearrange signal leads. Had to remove and re-connect wetness sensor and precipitation. Found the wetness sensor seems not to be working when wet. Tested PPT after reinstallation, so there is a 1 mm of rain on the record that is not true.

Tedâ€™s Bird wires on the sonic seem to work. No new bird crap on the sonic. Birds on the sonic may be a problem with spikes in the data. The radiometers look clean.

Ted cleaned up the Campbell programs and their listings.

Leaves on outlining trees are expanding.

1430 Back to Tonzi. Flux system up and running again.
