I arrived about 9:20PDT. Clear, sunny and warm. A little wind out of the south but seemed to swing to the west a little while I was there. The ground was damp maybe from dew near the grass along the road to the field and there was a little bit of water in the tipping bucket arm. The rice is beginning to yellow a little, but the water hasn't gone down much since my last visit. I talked to Bruce a little. He says the fields to the west are a couple weeks ahead of the rest and they might harvest a test batch from those fields next week. Our field is still probably several weeks away from harvest. Bruce said they got almost 0k for the rice last year and might get as much a 0k this year. More fields to the west may be planted in rice next year. We will get a new small generator this winter when the big one that runs the pumps is shutdown. The new one will output AC so we won't need the inverter. It would also be possible to continue to use the small generator next summer if we want to move the tower to another location or run a second tower.

All was running. The LGR was reporting:
8:23PST, 25.79C, 136.45Torr, 16.098usec, 10Hz, 1.920ppm

In low flow mode it was reporting 90.6Torr. I need to talk to LGR about pressure controllers. I adjusted the bypass valve and before I left it was reading:
10:10PST, 28.03C, 145.53Torr, 16.101usec, 10Hz, 1.842ppm

I removed the LI7700 sn TG1-0100 for use at the Moffett field experiment.

I copied the data and swapped the card before changing the CR1000 program to run without the LI7700. I also removed the fine wire thermocouple from the CR1000 program.

I tested the tipping rain bucket with 473ml of water that should have resulted in 100+-3 tips or 25.4+-0.762mm. The data logger reported 23.622mm or 93tips. Considering I poured the water from a graduated cylinder to a bottle for transport to another container to dribble into the tipping bucket, reading low might be okay. But I think I'll try adjusting it next time and running some more water through it. Try 1/4 turn clockwise.

I got a CFM (sn ) that Frank left for the Moffet experiment.

I recorded Ocean Optics spectra at 0, 25, 50, 75, and 100m along the transect.
