Summary: power issues and problems with the LI-6400, swapped a Forerunner probe, normal data download

We arrived at 12:00pm. It was rainy, cool and breezy. The alfalfa is about 25 cm tall now. Kyle made clip plot and vegetation height measurements. Joe downloaded data. He also swapped the 2 cm Forerunner probe (sn GP20140009) with a new one (sn GP20140023). I tried to make soil respiration measurements but only managed to make measurements at two collars (1 and 2). First we had a power issue that we traced back to the battery â€“ looks like it needs to be replaced soon. We connected to the other battery and things seemed to work better (although we were still getting a message saying that power was low when CO2 was being scrubbed down so that battery may need to be replaced soon too), however, by the third collar, CO2 was not scrubbing down. We need to do some tests in the lab to see why that was occurring. Wiring for the Forerunner probes was actually ok.

It was raining so no reasonable CO2 and H2O numbers from the 7500.
