I arrived about 11am with Siyan. It was clear, sunny and hot with little to no wind. Our lock was out of the loop on the gate again. We used the hidden key to put it back in the loop. There is still some water in the Tonzi pond but everything is very dry. There was lots of fresh cow poop but we didnâ€™t see cows until on the way out. There were lots of young cows. Most of the trees are showing some brown leaves. It looks like the outer leaves more exposed to the sun are turning brown first.

We swapped out the N2 tank for the co2 profile system. The LI-820 was reading erratically. I pulled the cell and cleaned it. Afterwards is was possible to calibrate. Zero was about 160 ppm off, but the span was only a few ppm off.

I was going to replace the tower computer due to previous hang ups, but it seemed to be running well. The replacement is the new, experimental compute stick. Instead of experimenting in the field I decided to run the compute stick in the lab for another week before swapping it into the field.

The young cows have destroyed the cow fences. I fixed a bunch of breaks in the main tower fence. Siyan and I fix breaks in the Floor and soil co2 fences too. We need to bring some more fence supplies next time.

The mount for the Floor HMP45 had slipped down about half a meter. I tried to put it back at the same level.

I serviced the zcams. I still need to repair the cable for zcam2 and re-glue the window on zcam1.

Siyan did moisture point, midday water potential, dbh and well level.
