Twitchell Rice
2014-07-23

I dropped Patty and Kathleen off at the site around 14:30 PDT while I went back to Mayberry to get the USB to serial adapter that I’d left there (It was just one of those days…). It was hot, sunny and windy. The rice continues to grow.

Patty and Kathleen did veg height, LAI 2000, and clip plots. Patty attended to the tower and downloaded data. However, there was no camera data since the last download.

I got back to the site around 15:20 PDT right when Patty and Kathleen were wrapping up.

7500 readings:
CO2 = 350 ppm
H2O = 838 mmol m-3
signal strength = 84.5%
p = 102.16 kPa
t = 28.9 C
sos: 350.5 m s-1

7700 readings:
CH4 = 1.95 ppm (1.93 ppm after cleaning)
RSSI = 52.2% (64% after cleaning)

Met seemed good.

Veg Height (cm): Tape measure from ground to top of plant
70, 80, 90, 62, 67, 65, 67, 65, 70, 64, 69, 70, 72, 62, 60, 67, 58, 60, 62, 67, avg = 67.4, stdev = 7.34
