Summary: Standard fieldwork, offset in CO2 profile system, LED sensor at Tonzi broken - removed, little rain last weekend, but stiff very dry.

Weather: clear with some clouds, sunny, nice breeze, perfect temperature (~20oC)
Phenology: a-week-ago rain wasn’t enough to grass germination; oak trees turned to yellow and more dropped; soil surface pretty dry

Summary
  1. Checked and downloaded data from PC at Tower, Floor.
  2. Joe downloaded Data at Vaira
  3. Swapped memory cards of CR1000s at three sites. Everything worked well.
  4. Calibrated CO2 profile system; 17ppm between data logger and Li-820 software
  5. The cover of LED sensor at Tonzi was broken. Joe took the whole sensor back to the lab for fixing.
  6. Read dendrometers
  7. Measured soil moisture
  8. Measure groundwater well:

  3. Joe downloaded data and Swapped the memory cards of CR1000.
  4. Check the fans of air temp and relative humidity sensors at Vaira. YES!

  2. Check rain gage, make sure not clogged. YES, by Dennis.
  3. Closed gate and set up fence. YES!

Tonzi_Tower Site

  1. Fence and gate power: 12 v.
  2. Panel and Batteries: - v; - amps; - amps.
  3. Reading from Gillsonic screen before downloading data. (The value of H2O and CO2 should be in the range of 0 – 5 v.)
