Phenology: oak tree falloff, grass right sprout out, majority still under grass debris, about 3 cm high at Vaira, < 1 cm high at Tonzi. This fall grass sprouting seems to be later than last year, maybe because of lower temperature when the first rain came.
Summary

1. Ted was exchanging batteries in three sites. New batteries are installed, 8 for Vaira, 12 for Tower, and 6 for Floor. Hopefully, this winter we will not have power problems any more. Cheers!
2. Swap Li-7500 at the three site. Everything worked well, except seeing “virus alert” at the floor site. Let Ted know already.
3. soil CO2 profile system was working well. I am thinking maybe we need buy some profile sensors with larger ranges to avoid out-of-range next spring‌‌‌‌
4. Collect oak woody, grass, soil, and litter samples in Tonzi for Alex.
5. Soil moisture was measured. Deep layers (30-60cm) still dry.
6. Dendrometers were read.
7. I was planning to do spectrometer measurement, but the laptop’s battery was not on. I hope we can solve the laptop problem. The laptop need to be shared, but none of us should take it into apart without noticing others.
8. Should we reinstall soil heat flux plates at Vaira and Tonzi‌
