Where: Vaira Ranch Who: Ted Hehn Weather Clear and warm Vaira Ranch: Friday- Arrive and all appears well. Connect webcam to network port on computer and connect power leads to PC enclosure power bus. Unit functions correctly. Install webcam, power bus enclosure and webcam power relay on boom supports. Install locking power jack and plug on computer. During this effort the LCD monitor was broken (I think I leaned on it) and it is no longer readable. Replace with spare. Monitor not functioning correctly: 2” on left side of screen dark and cannot see desktop Start button or shortcut icons. Uninstall monitor drivers and reboot PC. Monitor still dysfunctional. Install monitor driver and reboot PC – still dysfunctional. Remove PC (Moe) and install spare (WCFields). Monitor now works but unable to connect to webcam. Install NDVI_2 on boom arm and connect leads to data logger. Unable to establish communication with CR23x. Remove WCFields and install Moe. Monitor and webcam now fully functional. No communication with CR23x3. This site is functioning correctly except for communication with the CR23X. I was unable to edit the CR23x program to include the webcam power relay sequence. Consequently, the webcam is not yet functional. Weather proof webcam power bus/relay box and CR23X solar regulator box. Leave site. |
