4/15/2010 Arrived about 9:30am with Jaclyn. I dropped Jaclyn off at the pasture tower. Cool, sunny, wind from north variable to NE and NW. The ditch near the road looked full. Pepper weed in cow fence almost chest high, out side it is still being grazed mostly less than 30cm maybe some patches to 50cm. Especially bushy under radiation sensors. Trailer was cold - batteries had run out. I started up the generator. I installed a UPS for the LGR to prevent power outages in swaps between generator and inverter. I installed the Plantcam near the top of the tower looking west and running on AA batteries. At the pasture site I helped Jaclyn setup the LGR for soil respiration measurements. I ran some wire for serial connection for the soil CO2 data logger, but need parts and time to finish. I left for Twitchell about 11:30am Returned from Twitchell about 1pm. The LGR in slow flow is only reporting 90Torr. Adjusting bypass valve in hi flow mode only brought it up to 125Torr. Ring time has dropped below 11usec too. Probably will swap it out next Tuesday. LGR: 13:05, 23.85C, 115.32Torr->125.5Torr, 10.844usec, 1.892ppm, 10Hz, 970.8hr Copied data from the soil 23x with my laptop. |
