Summary: Surface and porewater sampling

Erin and I arrived at West Pond at 9:00 am. It was a sunny day, a bit windy. This was the 4rth visit after the wetland was flooded. The inlet is still on and the water level was at 71 cm.

We sampled surface and porewaters at the inlet, outlet, tower, 0.5, 0.8 and 0.85 footprint sites. Conditions were similar that during our last site visit. Still observed the grey precipitate at -30, -40 and -50 cm this time but only at one of the sites (0.5 footprint).

Readings at the tower (surface water)
Conductivity: 747 uS
Salinity: 0.4 ppt
pH: 6.21
T: 17.2 C

Average porewaters:
Conductivity: 977 uS
Salinity: 0.5 ppt
pH: 5.71
T: 17.8 C

We processed the samples by the tower and left at around 4:50 pm. Next sampling will be done in November
