Summary: Sampled 5 corn plants from within the flux footprint. Took LAI measurements using both the one-wand and two-wand method.
I arrived at BC around 11am. Sky conditions were sunny and clear during my whole time in the field. I took LAI measurements using the one-wand and two-wand method, this time collecting a second scattering dataset for the two-wand collection titled "BC0623S2" I sampled 5 corn plants from within the footprint. The corn has grown prodigiously, increasing by ~50cm since just four days prior. The two patches of corn from the previous week were still apparent: "Two patches of corn appeared distinctly different from the rest of the field. To the south of the tower some of the plants appeared more spiky, with curled leaves. Directly in front of the tower (Where the chambers are sampling) appeared substantially shorter with more "stringy" looking leaves. They are quite close to the base of the tower, and I believe their signal is outside the BC flux footprint." I left around 2pm. |
