Summary: Water visible in well, Don't agree with values of cal tank, Need to check in lab, HMP45 reporting bad data.

2/18/2010 Arrived about 10am with Jaclyn. Heavy fog, a little breeze out of the north. The field is drained and dry enough to walk on without getting muddy. There is a little water visible in the well. Pressure on the LGR initially very low (98.47Torr) Adjusted with by pass valve: 10:05, 2.5508ppm, 13263ppm, 445.28ppm, 27.98C, 146.22Torr, 17.170usec, 10Hz External filter seemed plugged up, swapped it with cleaned filter. Calibrated LGR. Calibration with 3.276ppm CH4, 433.0ppm CO2 cal tank: Pre cal 10:30, 3.5032ppm CH4, 448.8ppm CO2, 39.54Torr, Last cal Jan 14th Post cal 3.316ppm CH4, 441.0ppm CO2 Values improved, but still don’t agree with cal tank. I think the very low pressure is a problem. Maybe the internal filter is plugged up. I will do some check in the lab and then possibly swap out the LGR. Before leaving the LGR read: 10:43, 2.2956ppm, 14090ppm, 432.09ppm, 25.89C, 147.77Torr, 17.122usec, 10Hz Swapped card and copied data. Restarted Verizon Jaclyn cleaned the radiometers. Changed the webcam batch file to use the new dayofyear program. Did not change the data logger MD9 batch files. The HMP45 was reporting bad data. The sensor head inside the filter cap was wet. I blew it clean and dry with the cal gas and it seemed better. Left for Sherman about 11am. |
