1/14/2010 Arrived about 7am with Randy and Eric (and son) from Picarro. Cool, foggy lifting, little to no wind becoming a light breeze from the NNW. Lots of annual grass, wet soils. Picarro set up experimental high speed greenhouse gas analyzer at base of tower. ¼” tube tied next to existing CH4 inlet. They only tested CO2 at about 30Hz sub-sampling from ~10lpm flow using external pump. Our systems were running. Power had gone out and come back. Trailer system came back up in slow flow mode. External filters were plugged. I removed the Gelman style Teflon filter installed last time in the permanent tower line and installed a 2um Swagelok filter cleaned in the lab this week. I also swapped out the 2um Swagelok on the trailer line with a lab cleaned one. But it seems the internal filter in the 3-channel LGR in the trailer is plugged. Even with no external filter and fully open bypass valve, the pressure was low( ~136Torr). Calibrated both LGR analyzers. Copied data and swapped both cards. Fast radiation CR10x not connecting. Solar powered battery feed for both the FastRad and met data loggers is low. Losing met data starting 1-7-2010. Need to swap these to UPS backed DC supply.
