Summary: Decommissioning of the site. All sensors and equipment removed and taken to Sherman Wetland.

East Pond
2020-01-30

Dennis, Alex, Robert and I arrived at about 9:30. It was mostly sunny and cool. The wetlands all are very brown. Dennis was very surprised with how much East End had been blown down.

Today is the last day for the East Pond tower. We are taking it down and moving it to Sherman Wetland.

I decided to wait to collect data as the others were itching to start taking things apart. I shutdown the Pi-cam and then turned off the power and started taking the solar system apart. Alex and Robert made a bunch of sensor location measurements before starting to disassemble things. Dennis cursed a lot.

Everything went relatively well. The soil/water sensors were heavily over grown with vegetation and hard to get out. One heat flux plate sn 00244 was lost when its cable broke off right at the plate.

Daphne arrive at about 10:45 and helped to finish up and pack.

We left at about noon time.
