When: June 7, 2004 (D159) arrived at 1000 PST
Where: Tonzi/Vaira Ranch
Who: Dennis Baldocchi, Siyan Ma, and Jessica
Weather: Mild day, Sunny, nice, cool breeze.
Phenology: yellow, mature grass

Summary

Overall EC systems were running great. Data were downloaded. Soil samples for calculating Bulk Density were collected by the side of TDR probes. Dennis fixed CO2 profile program with connection to MD-9.

!!! Whoever takes soil samples in EC system area, should be careful to underlying power and other wires under the ground. Select the spots away from those wires.

Tonzi_Tower Site

1. Fence gate wasn’t closed, and power wasn’t on.
2. Dennis did quick check on power system. Panel and Batteries were working well. Siyan didn’t write the numbers.
3. Dennis and Jessica climbed the tower. System was running well.

Tonzi_Floor Site

1. Floor EC, system was running great.
2. Dennis fixed the program problem and re-downloaded all CR10X and 23X programs for documentation. The connection between computer and CR10X and 23X dataloggers were failed. Seems OK.
