Summary: Installed motion sensor, uploaded new CR1000 program, tested tipping bucket, fixed NR01 PRT, fixed 7700 wash bottle tube, changed CR1000 pakbus address
2019-01-24 Sherman Barn Joe and I arrived at 12:35. It was mild and sunny with a cool breeze. The grass was green and wet. Joe made a new loop for the pasture gate and dug up some weeds inside our exclosure. We re-tested the tipping bucket sn 49187-109 with 475ml water. We got 100 tips and didn't need to make any adjustments. Joe installed a motion sensor on the eddy post, facing NW, about 2 m height. It is a passive infrared sensor(?). We wired it to the datalogger P2 and uploaded a new CR1000 program. The 7700 wash reservoir was full last week, when we expected otherwise. The wash settings were fine, but the wash bottle was compressing the water outlet tube, so not much water was getting pumped up the 7700. Joe resolved the issue. The NR01 PRT temperature has been drifting low. When we arrived, it was 5C. The wiring looked fine, but I took out the Current Excite (red) wire, it looked a little frayed so I re-stripped it, and then reconnected it. The PRT temperature then jumped to 15C, which seemed reasonable. Maybe the wire was loose, and this fixed the issue. I added a sn 47108 label for the CR1000 and changed its Pakbus address from 1 to 8. We left at 13:20. |
