Summary: Change FLIR restart time, Surface temp on OSU SP2 and SP3, LWin and LWout on SP1.

I arrived at about 10:00 with Dennis and Siyan. It was mild and partly sunny. The ground is damp with some small puddles in the road but the pond is not filling.

I collected data from the Tower, Floor, and OSU loggers. At the tower I set the FLIR clock using telnet. After collecting the met data I changed the program to restart the FLIR at 15min after midnight instead of only 10sec after midnight. Hopefully this prevents the midnight photo from getting lost.

On the OSU SP2 and SP3 systems I collected the data (though I seemed to have missed the 30min table on SP3) then changed the program to store the surface temperature as C instead of 10*C. On the OSU SP1 system I collected the data then changed the program to store the LWin and LWout corrected for the NR01 PRT instead of uncorrected. I also removed the RF401 radios from SP3 (sn 35754) and SP1 (sn 35785) for testing in the lab. Iâ€™m thinking of setting the LattePanda up to collect SP2 and SP3 data.

The solar panel cable on the OSU SP1 system has been chewed by cows. It still seems to be working but needs to be spliced next time. I need to have the correct size heat shrink.

The cal panel and IRT for the FLIR were misaligned. Cows have been pushing on them. I pushed them back into place but they may not last long.

I looked at running an Ethernet line from the tz5 soil co2 CR23x to the box under the tree to alleviate some of the confusing wiring. There are conduit pipes there that probably have room for the wire but I will need a fish to get it through.

Siyan collected the other data loggers, manual well measurements, DBH and clip plots.

Dennis did the soil moisture and pulled out more of the old litter trap cages. We piled most of the wire fencing in the back of the truck and dropped it off in the scrap metal bins at the recycling center on Gilman.

Siyan and Dennis pulled most of the unused fence posts.
