Summary: Power upgrade at the Floor site and soil co2 system, FLIR cal plane misaligned.

I arrived at 11:30 with Daphne. It was clear, cool and sunny. The ground is damp but not soft. This trip is to fix power problems at the Floor and soil co2 systems.

The Floor was running but seems to have lost lots of data over the last week or so. We disconnected the batteries in the sn BB-TF bank and tested them individually. Only two of the nine tested okay and even those seemed weak when I retested them later. We replaced the batteries with four new group 31 flooded lead acid batteries. The new batteries are wired for 24V. I rewired the six solar panels in pairs for 24V. We added conduit to the ends of the power run to the tower that was not already in conduit. I cut about 6ft of extra cable off the end at the solar controller. Daphne rewired the end at the tower. The Licor and sonic are on 24V and the cr200, well and camera use a step down converter to run on 12V. She also removed the old Campbell enclosure that used to house the computer.

At the soil co2 site we added a solid state relay to the positive power line for the Vaisala probes under the tree. This system has been losing power too. The relay should reduce the power consumption a bit by turning off the four Vaisala most of the time. We also added to the battery bank sn BB-TZ_soilco2 two more batteries that were most recently at East Pond but still tested okay.

The cal panel for the FLIR was twisted again but I forgot to fix it. The computer was running and image collecting seemed complete. I restarted the computer.
