I arrived at about 11am with Siyan and Daphne. It was clear sunny and warm. The pond seem very low for this time of year. The low spots were wet and vehicles had made a mess of the wet spots on the road, but no standing water now. The grass is still growing slowly.

The IRT tripod had fallen over. One leg was broken off and another was damaged. I was able to swap the legs with some from one of the tripods left over from the tram and get the tripod upright again. It seems a little more wobbly than before and Iâ€™m not sure the sensors are in the same locations, but should be close. The data logger was still running and Siyan collected data from it. Hopefully Ana will have some suggestions for improving this installation.

I tried to put a Latte Panda single board computer in the computer box at the base of the tower. I had trouble getting the standoffs installed straight underneath the keyboard tray and then worried about having enough power for the computer and screen. I need another 12V converter. Also need to rewire the power connections inside the solar controller box.

Daphne installed the last Vaisala GMP343, sn N2220008, at the top location and a CR6 (sn 2113) in the box at the second level of the tower. This got the new co2 profile system running. Daphne also moved the power strip from the old eddy box at the top of the tower to the met box there. Then removed the now empty eddy box.

I added the new Decagon CTD-10 well sensor sn 1260403156 to the well near the floor tower. The sensor is about 11.1m below the top of the white pipe. I put a bolt into the side of the pipe 10cm below the top that the cable restraint can hang on â€“ change to an eye-bolt next time. The extra cable hangs back down the well and exits the well after the splice through a hole in the well pipe near the concrete slab. The Teflon covered vent hole is inside the well pipe. The extension cable runs to the old eddy box on the floor tower and is connected to the CR200 there that is used to control the zcam. This cable needs some split loom to protect it from chewing. I did not have the zcam program for the CR200 and the CR200 does not store an un-complied version. Since the trees are bare now I decided to overwrite the zcam program and start collecting data from the well sensor. I uploaded a new program and the data looked reasonable. We accidentally cleared the Global Water well data before collecting it so no data from that sensor for the last few weeks, but we will have two weeks of inter-comparison data next time.

Siyan did the soil moisture, wells, dbh, collected the floor data and serviced the zcams. Daphne collected the tower data.

The 7500 read: 410ppm CO2, 573mmol/m3 H2O, 21.6C, 100.1kPa, 100SS
