Daphne and I arrived at 13:30. It was cool and sunny with clouds on the horizon. Lots of grass and nettles sprouting here.

This site has been losing power too. The same 1/17 to 1/18 noon is missing here as at East End. I thought to add a third solar panel here but as I got it connected, realized this power system is 24V and an odd number of solar panels wonâ€™t work. This used to be necessary for the older Vaisala CO2 power and control boxes, but might not be needed now that we are using the newer GMM boards. No power upgrade for now. I did screw in the anchor and reaffix the security chain on the two panels here.

Daphne put new screens on the two west facing vent holes on the battery box. She also reversed the mounting of the diffuse PAR shortening its mounting arm. This removes the bird roost over the solar panels and makes it easier to reach the sensor for maintenance.

I pulled a fence post that used to mark the north end of the soil sensors and might have been casting a small shadow on the solar panels.

Daphne spread more castor oil around and filled in some of the squirrel holes.
