I arrived at about 11:30 with Siyan. It was cloudy and cool with fog lifting just after we arrived. The ground is wet with puddles in the road. The pond is still pretty low. The breeze we had at Varia is missing here. The grass is growing slowly.

I worked on putting up the new Vaisala GMP343 CO2 profile on the tower. I put up the three lower sensors: sn N2220007 bottom, sn N2210010 2nd from bottom, sn N2210009 3rd from bottom. I put the box containing a CR6 just below the third location. I put the top GMP343 up but discovered that even after splicing more cable on it, its cable was still about 3m short. I also dropped its solar shield from the top of the tower and broke it. I decided to just run the bottom three but then the CR6 would not boot â€“ no power light and no response. I left the three GMP343s and the barometer sn B0310006 and HMP60 sn L2310711 in place and brought back the CR6 and the last GMP343.

I collected the Licor GHG data and met data from the tower top. There seemed to be a full set of Phenocam photos this time. I tried to make an Ethernet cable to be left there for connecting the computer but the cable I made didnâ€™t seem to work.

I removed the remaining FD chamber sn 20160003 from the Tree 1 soil co2 profile. I also removed the FD chamber cables from the Open profile where the failed chamber had been removed previously, but forgot the collar there.

Siyan did the usual field work.
