I arrived with Dennis and Siyan at about 11am. It was clear and sunny. There was a little more rain but the ground is still dry.

Gerardo Rivera from NASA JPL and Lynn (?) arrived about 11:30 to take measurements for installing a thermal radiometer on the tower.

Dennis start the soil moisture measurements then talked to Gerardo and Lynn.

I got tower CO2 profile running. The LI-820 looked noisy and I tried to clean it but it still seemed noisy, so we brought it in for lab calibration. In this process I discovered that the solenoid box got wet inside and corroded. I removed the box and connected the tanks directly to the lowest inlet to test the LI-820. Both tanks were turned off at the main valve when we left. There is also a power line into the solar controller box that needs 12V to run the cal gas solenoids.

I collected data from the tower top. The camera has not been storing images. I discovered that the CR1000 FTP service was not running. I started it and manually sent a set of images.

I checked on the wiring of the soil CO2 sensors. They are in order shallow to deep.

I replaced the coin cell battery in zcam 1 and reset its clock.

Siyan finished the soil moistures and did the other regular fieldwork.
