Mayberry: 2017-07-19 14:55:00 (DOY 200)
Author: Daphne Szutu
Others: Elke Eichelmann, Ada Chang

Summary: Regular data collection and cleaning, collected water samples for Isabel and Sam, most cattails are yellow and chewed

2017-07-19
Mayberry

we arrived at 14:55. It was clear, sunny, and warm but breezy. Most of the cattail by the tower were yellow and look chewed. We saw a few caterpillars wriggling in the water between the tower and the cattails. There were a lot of spiderwebs around the EC sensors.

Ada refilled the wash box. It was almost empty. There was a wasp nest in the wash box that we tried to leverage out but ended up pushing to the bottom of the box.

Ada collected 6 surface water samples, 3 for Isabel and 3 for Sam. She collected the samples while standing on the lower boardwalk of the tower using the rod/stand clamp tool. The samples were collected off of the north side of the tower.

Elke cleaned the EC and radiation sensors. She also wiped off the minidots and fluoromter. We swapped the batteries in the minidots.

I collected met, camera, and USB GHG data. The SWout connections to the mux seemed ok but I re-did the connections to see if that would reduce the data spikes.

LI7500 readings:
CO2 = 391.2 umol/mol --> 399.7 after cleaning
H2O = 729.1 mmol/m3
T = 28.8 C
P = 101.2 kPa
SS = 95.5 --> 98 after cleaning

LI7700 readings:
CH4 = 2.00
RSSI = fluctuating 10-3 --> 77.2 after cleaning
