6-16-2010 Arrived about 10am with Jaclyn. The field is flooded about 15cm deep. Warm, clear, sunny, wind from the NNW. Jim says they will spray the field by crop duster with pellets to prevent/kill mosquitoes. Jaclyn said she saw lots of leeches in the water. The big generator is online and our power supply was moved to it. But when we arrived, there was no power at our tower. Probably a popped GFI outlet on the big generator. I moved our power to another outlet. On return of power LGR came up in high flow, but CO2 did not lock. I left it this way while I went to meet Frank to calibrate the LI7700 in the trailer. Frank and I calibrated the LI7700. It was as easy as a LI7500. Two point calibration, N2 for zero and 3.??? For span. –Franks notes. Then Frank took the LI7700 to install on his site while I serviced out tower. At our tower I tried to get the LGR CO2 to lock. First I changed linelock0 V0 to 0.195 but I think this is only for CH4 and H20. Next I changed linelock1 V0 from –2.778 to –2.728. This seemed to fix the problem and CO2 locked. LGR readings 10:57, 25.51C, 137.87Torr, 13.938usec, 10Hz, 1.8357ppm, 6788ppm, 368.66 Copied data and swapped card. Copied Plantcam photos. Check sonic heading with compass. Left about 12:30 to go to Frank’s site to help with LI7700 setup. Frank had most parts mounted. I wired up the power and analog connections to the CR1000. I changed the CR1000 program. However, when we connected things, the LI7700 head would not power up. No power lights. We checked everything we could think of with no success. I brought LI7700 and LI7550 back to lab for more testing. |
