Summary: Standard fieldwork, dry, hot, area along Twin Cities Rd burned.
| Vaira 2016-07-07 I arrived about 9am with Siyan. It was clear, sunny and hot with a light breeze from the west. The ground and grass is dry and crunchy. The dry grass is very bright to look at. The water hole is getting low but still has some water. There has been a relatively large fire along the south side Twin Cities Rd burning the cow pastures west of the quarry. I collected the data while Siyan did soil moisture and spectral measurements. The sensors were clean and fan was running. The grass will probably need to be cut again this year. |
