Summary: Improved camera mount and collected images.

Twitchell Rice

I arrived about 12 noon. The field is looking a bit drier with some dry spots in the high places.

I checked on the camera. The mount does not let the card door open. I cut a piece off the card door to make some more space. I also cut the bump off the inside of the card door that engages the switch that tells the camera that the door is closed. This camera uses that switch to boot from the card rather than the factory firmware. So now the camera should boot from the card whether the card door is closed or not. I collected the images from the camera and left the card adapter in the camera enclosure for next time.

I added another diagonal brace to the camera post making it more stable in the north-south direction.

I left two 4x4 by 8’ posts and two 10’ perforated drain pipes on top of our pile of stuff along the levee just past the building.
