Summary: Transect LAI, preparing for predawn water potential tomorrow
| WHO: Nancy Kiang, Jianwu Tang (grad student in Ye Qi's lab)WHERE: Tonzi Ranch WHEN: camped overnight, Wed-Thurs, 6/6-7/2001 WEATHER: Wed 88°F, Thurs 91°F , grasses completely golden brown WHAT: Measure pre-dawn and midday leaf water potentials and Leaf Area Index of transects. Measure diurnal leaf water potential on 3 trees. 6/6/01. Arrived 4:30 pm (Daylight Saving Time) - Practiced pressure bomb: was stopping at -29 bar, so it was not possible to take data at lower potentials. - Measured LAI of T1 and T2 (check data at ~19:40, maybe Jianwu stuck his head over the above-canopy sensor). Sunset at ~17:00 pm (Standard Time) |
