Summary: Field trip to Twitchell Island, Saturday 8/28/2010

Arrived at Twitchell around 11:45am. Still cool (19C) and partly cloudy with a strong breeze from the east. LGR was running ok, in high flow 10Hz. Mirror time was 16.11 us. Pressure was 132 Torr, so I adjusted the high pressure valve to bring the pressure back up to 143 Torr. All the data files appeared to be on the computer.

Most of the rice is in the heading phase at this point, although seems a bit patchy throughout the field. Water depth was 16cm, and rice plant height is holding steady around 54cm. Took 5 clip plots, and average LAI has decreased to 10.8 (from 13.5 last week). Waited for a break in the clouds to take 5 spectral reflectance measurements along the transect into the field.
