I arrived about 10:30 PDT from Vaira. It was clear, sunny, and hot with very little wind at first but increasing towards midday.

My first task was to fix the tram charging station. I put a fresh SLA battery inside the tram and fixed the parking proximity sensor by moving it away from the parking dock by a few inches. This allowed the tram to park correctly without power to the charging dock. The tram ran correctly at 11am before I finished the charging station.

For the charging station I hooked up two brand new deep cycle group 27 batteries in series for a 24VDC system. I removed the larger 40W panel sn 04592G0181 and added a smaller 20W? panel to match the other 20W? panel and wired in series for 24VDC. I mounted the panels on top of a wood frame to shade the batteries directly below the panels.

When all hooked up it seemed to be working, the panels were charging the deep cycle batteries and the tram’s internal charger was charging its internal battery.

Next I checked on the two sap flow systems that are not working. The one to the west has a bad battery and bad solar panel I think. The one to the east seems to have power but no program and cannot connect to the tower computer.

The other data files on the Tower and the Floor seem to be up to date.

I swapped cards on the zcams and cleaned their glass with alcohol and kim wipes.

I brought back two dead motorcycle batteries and another dead car battery to turn in for core deposits.

I left about 12:30pm PDT
