Summary: Swapped Li-7500 in Vaira (Remove #65, install #41). Because Ted was there, I didn't check the flux system. Some serious problems mentioned by Ted.

Weather: Partially cloudy, ground very wet, flooding on Tue.
Phenology: Oak leaves comes out, ~1cm long. Flowers start coming out on the grassland.

Summary
  1. Swapped Li-7500 in Vaira (Remove #65, install #41).
  2. Because Ted was there, I didn’t check the flux system. Some serious problems mentioned by Ted:

· Ted found he didn’t install Licor-7500 on Tower site properly last time right before Hank was here. We got bad data during the comparison period.
· We need swap Tower’s Licor-7500 as soon as possible.
· Ted got shock by fence when he’s holding LED sensor, causing one channel of the sensor was out of range.
· Ted found there was some standing water in the lowest filter of CO2 profile system. So, he decided to stay in Tonzi one more night to fix the problem and also run responding curves.
  1. Used two sets of LAI-2000 measuring LAI along 400-m transects

1) Compare two sensors on the top of the tower
· SetUP: Rmt, Above, the same clock, sampling frequency = 15 seconds, sampling period = 10 mins. (using memory ~3%).
· Lenses are covered with 180oC mask.
· Direction is opposite to the Sun.
2) Leave one sensor on the tope the tower, holding tightly with a bondage
· SetUP: Rmt Above. sampling frequency =15 seconds. Sampling period = 1 hr.
3) Hold the one sensor in the level and do the “Below” measurement along “V” transects.
· SetUP: Rmt Blowe, Avg = 0. sampling frequency =
· Same mask as the tower one.
· Same direction as the tower one.

1) To measure soil moisture profile, set up MODE = 008
2) To measure soil moisture using single diode probe, set up MODE = 009
