Tree leaves are off. The grass is germinating.

I measured soil CO2 efflux along the transect and checked and downloaded the soil CO2 profile measurements. CO2 efflux averaged 3 mmol m^-2 s^-1 under trees, while 2 mmol m^-2 s^-1in the open areas.

Our leaf screens have collected a large amount of leaves. I took back 5 bags of leaves from the big tree.

Qi Chen collected leaves from 15? samples. He also measured tree height, which will be used to calibrate the LIDAR data.
