A couple of days after raining. Soil is getting wet. Tree leaves are about half green and half brown. I saw the grass is germinating.

I measured soil CO2 efflux along the transect and checked and downloaded the soil CO2 profile measurements. CO2 efflux averaged 2 mmol m^-2 s^-1 under trees, while 5 mmol m^-2 s^-1in the open areas, much more than the those before rain.

I took soils cores for measuring C, N and bulk density, along the transect. #21, and #6: 2cm and 10cm soil cores. #22-#26. 10cm cores.

Our leaf screens have collected a large amount of leaves. I took back 2 bags of leaves from the big tree. It seems our methods are more accurate compared with the small leaf basket (which underestimates LAI).
