Summary: Vaira new battery box, added fuses to solar system, new fence battery
| When: Mon., 3Feb03, JD-34 Where: Tonzi/Vaira Ranches Who: Ted Hehn Weather Clear, Cool light breeze Trip Purpose: Replace fence battery at Vaira Buy rubber ties and 2 ft step ladder Vaira Ranch: -All appears well at site -Check signal lead wiring on CR10x/MUX and discovered that the CM3 down had the polarity reversed. Change lead configuration to correct polarity. -Replace fence battery and connect surface renewal solar panel to battery for added charging capacity, install rubber tie to hold battery box closed -Install 30 amp fuses on solar regulator battery input/output and 5 amp fuse on load output—already had 30 amp fuse on solar input. -Place flux system batteries in large blue plastic box and use rubber ties to tie shut. Rubber tie also used to hold 2 ft step ladder in place on top of box -Readjust guy cable holding solar panels down -Download all data -Download old cr10x/mux program Tonzi Ranch: -All appears well (after sunset) at site -Download all data |
