Where: Tonzi/Vaira Ranches

Weather Sunny, little windy, temperature lower 90s, comfortable.

Trip Purpose: Predawn water potential measurement, check 3 flux systems and download data, soil moisture probe reading, dendrometer reading, A/C_i curve for oak leaf at Tonzi Ranch,

I saw a cow at Tonzi ranch when I arrived in the early morning. Mr. Tonzi told me that there are still 6 cows in the ranch. So we still need to be very careful to make sure that all the fences are working at all the time.

Overall: All flux systems were running great last week.

Tonzi ranch: Arrived around 4:40am clear sky, temperature 59F

Predawn water potential

Dendrometer reading:

Floor system: Fence working, flux system was running. All data loggers communicate with pc. PV reading 12.4, 0.0, and 2.0 and battery fully charged at 6:50am. Gillsonic output after reboot the laptop;

Tower system: Fence and flux system running good. Gillsonic output after reboot the laptop.

Soil moisture point probe reading.

Vaira Ranch: arrived at 7:50. Fence Ok, flux system also running great last week. PV reading 12.2, 1.2, and 2.6 at 7:55 am with fully charged battery. Soil moisture probe reading (see above). Sonic outputs looks Ok after finished all the tasks, see below;

At Vaira, I also checked the series number for the 5 soil moisture sensors and their CR10X channel locations. And there are;

Also from field trip notes 2000, I found the following sensors were installed at Vaira 015, 016, 017, 019, 020.

Looks like two of sensors were replaced, I tried to figure it out when this replacement took place from all the field trips notes, but I could not find any information. Anybody has any information, please let me know !!! Thanks.
