Summary: Things are wet and green from the first rains last week, standard fieldwork, otter at the pond

I arrived at about 10am with Siyan. It was sunny and cool with clouds coming in from the west. The first rains on the year fell most of last week. The ground is damp, there are some small puddles in the road and some water in the water hole. Mostly the water was absorbed by the ground. Lots of cows around. The grass has begun to grow 2-3cm.

I collected data and Siyan did the fieldwork. I tried to use the new (to the field) laptop but it didnâ€™t have drivers for the USB-serial port. I was able to connect to the LI-7550 and used it to collect the GHG and phenocam data.

I managed to miss collecting the soilco2 data. Looks like we also lost the last of the phenocam images for unknown reasons.

We went to the pond. The water level has come up a little but probably not much runoff yet. The water level was 14.40ft. There was an otter swimming around and hanging out at the pond.
