Summary: Flux platform not operational, fix and check other systems.
| When: Sat, 8Nov03, JD-312 Where: Tonzi/Vaira Ranches Who: Ted Hehn Weather Clear and cool. Trip Purpose: Repair solar power failure at Vaira site. Vaira Ranch: 10:00 Arrive – flux platform not operational. Fuse holder on PS30M solar regulator burned up. Remove regulator and check solar/batt/load leads for short/open circuits. 20 volts present on solar leads; 11.7 present on batt leads and no voltage and hi resistance is present on load leads. Install new PS30M and system returns to operational status. Tripod for diffuse radiation/4way net rad was seriously out of level. It was corrected. All systems operational and PC/logger communications exist. Leave site. |
