Summary: First heavy rain of the season, Vaira solar controller burned - replaced, Oak DBH expand quickly after rain.

Weather On Nov 7, heavy cloudy, light rain on previous night. Heavy rain on Sat and Sunday. Mr. Tonzi told we got about 1 inch rain. Thatâ€™s what we want for the rain pulse paper. On Nov 10, it was clear. I can see some of grass just germinated. Oak trees still have some green leaves. Brown leaves were blown to the ground.

Mr. Tonzi told me that cow would be in his ranch in any days, we want to make sure everything in the field is cow-proof.

Tonzi site:

Tower EC, floor EC and CO2 profiles running pretty good. Outputs from gillsonic gave right values. At floor I connected 7^th and 8^th solar panel to the power system, so we have more power for the rain season. On Nov 10, PV reading at tower 13.7, 0, and 4.0. At floor, 13.3, 18.1, and 2.4 at 11:50.

Vaira site. On Nov 7, the PV regulator burned. It probably occurred about two days ago (around noon time on Nov 5) based on the system voltage data. Informed Ted, and he replaced it with new regulator on Nov 8. On Nov 10, I went to site again, everything running great. PV reading 12.8, 20.7 and 2.6. The system is still running on 6 solar panels. But fence wire on the west site was broken, I fixed.

After the rain event during the weekend, we got lot of moisture in the soil and oak bole expanded a lot. See below for the reading.
