Author: Siyan Ma
Others: Jessica

When: Date: 6/28/2006 , Day: 179 , Watch Time: 9:10am .
Where: Tonzi/Vaira Ranch
Who: Siyan, Jessica
Weather: cloudy, cover >95%
Phenology: yellow grass, green oak leave
Summary
  1. EC systems worked well. I swapped Li-7500 at Tower and Floor, and download data at Tower, Floor, and Vaira. Also download met data miss-download before.
  2. collect oak leaf and branches for LAI and N at Tonzi
  3. MIBA samples were collected this time, from No. 178 -182.
  4. measured soil moisture, TDR worked at Vaira, but somehow it didn’t work when I was at Tonzi. (Dennis unscrewed the screws on the top of the machine and found out one of the power wire was disconnected. FIXED!!!!)
  5. read dendrometers
  6. took spectrometer measurement, the laptop use a default config files, that may cause the difference between Matthias’ and those measurements taken by using the labtop in the lab.

Vaira_Grass Site
  1. Fence and gate power: >12 v.
  2. Panel and Batteries: 13.1 v; 5.3 amps; 3.1 amps.
  3. Reading from Gillsonic screen before downloading data. (The value of H2O and CO2 should be in the range of 0 – 5 v.)
