Summary: led ECOSTRESS field trip to Tonzi
| The NASA JPL ECOSTRESS science team took a field trip to Tonzi. They intend to use the site as a CalVal site for the launch of the new satellite that will produce GPP and ET at high resolution, 70 m. They intend to mount a radiometer system on the flux tower. Josh Fisher and Simon Hook are among the leaders of the team Everything was really green and lots of wild flowers. Saw double flux systems on the tower and understory systems. Noticeable mortality of stems still on the trees despite wet winter. LAI from gap fraction is still lower than other years |
