Summary: Removed Twitchell Rice tower

2017-04-04
Twitchell Rice

We arrived around 10:20. It was sunny and mostly clear with some haze near the horizon. Bruce said they were planning to spray an herbicide last week, but there was some grass growing on the field and tules growing around the edge pf the field.

Before removing sensors, Elke measured the sonic. The bottom of the sonic sensor was 2.58 m from the ground. The sonic heading was 340 deg from magnetic N.

We removed the tower, all sensors, and boardwalks from the field. We left the solar panels and batteries at the site for now.

We left at 12:10.
