Summary: Reinstalled FD chamber, checked Stardot camera, bales, new irrigation ditch.

I arrived about 12:30. It was hot and sunny with little to no wind. The rutted road along the south side of the field has been turned into an irrigation ditch and the extra space has been added to the field to the south. The irrigation ditch was full of water. The field has been baled and there were workers picking up the bales. There is lots of squirrel activity including a big hole near the soil co2 sensors. We need to figure out some way to discourage them â€“ moth balls in the hole, poison?

I reinstalled the Forced Diffusion chamber sn FD20160001. The existing cable tested okay and as soon as I hooked it up it started to run. Iâ€™m not sure what was wrong with it before. I might give it its own power converter.

I collected the photos from the Stardot camera. There were only 113 files on the card stopping on 07/08. I changed its ftp scripts to shorten the file names. Campbell seems to think long file names are why images stop being recorded after about 700 images. I collected about 1200 images on a test system in the lab. The file names were twitchellalfalfa_yyyy_mm_dd_hhmmss.jpg and are now ta_mmdd_hhmmss.jpg.
