Summary: Checking systems, LAI transect, preparing for predawn water potential tomorrow
| WHO: Nancy Kiang, Jianwu Tang (grad student in Ye Qi's lab) WHERE: Tonzi Ranch WHEN: Overnight at Best Western Amador Inn, Tues-Wed, 7/31-8/01/2001 WEATHER: Tues 90°F, Wed 95°F, clear skies, gibbous moon at 19:00 PST WHAT: Measure pre-dawn and midday leaf water potentials, dendrometer bands, and Leaf Area Index of transects. Re-start PC208 on floor system. Photos and GPS tower. Jianwu Tangmeasured soil respiration. 7/31/01. Arrived at Tonzi Ranch 3:23 PST. -16:05-16:50 PST. Installed heater H27 on Tree 252. -13:30 PST. Interrupted gillsonic.exe on floor flux system, started PC208, and re-started gillsonic.exe. -15:08 PST. Found that heater on Tree 248 is burnt out. -17:08-17:50 PST. Measured LAI of T1 and T2. Gibbous moon to south up 30°. |
