Summary: No raw data files fond on laptop, file set up changed to 1 & gillsonic restarted.
| Arrived at 10:00 am 5% sky cloudy cover, mild wind but feel chilly. Last two days heavy rain, the surface still very wet. Oak trees leaves all popped out and thumbnail size. Photovoltaic controller reading was good at Tower site (14.8 V, 0.9 A and 0.0 A), cleaned solar panel (lot of young leaves on it). Checked cr23x chan 1-7 were good, and cr10x chan. 1-27 were good except chan. 11 which was 9999. Floor system: Photovoltaic controller reading good (12.1, 1.6A and 1.9A). at 11:30 the solar panel was still shaded about 95% by the trees at east side. clean the solar panel. Open the laptop, still no raw data files, although Nancy told me that she did change to 1 in the setup file on Wednesday. But when I open the setup file, it was still 0. I changed both files setup.* to 1, restart the gillsonic .exe. After I collected 8 LAI samples (4 from under the tree and 4 from open space), about 1 hr later checked the computer, it start to record the *.raw files. next time we need replace the li-COr 7500, since the system seems run properly. Finished around 12:15 pm: At Vaira ranch: arrived around 12:40. Many cows were at SW direction of the sonic system, the wind is also SW !! |
