Summary: Installation of solar panel system for tower but power cords were missing & job was not completed.
| In the afternoon we went to the Tonzi ranch and resumed setting up the forest floor flux system. We fixed the solar panel charge on the tower system, set up a solar panel array near the forest floor, hardened the power leads. Set up the tower. We were missing the sonic power cords, so had to quit. One major faux pas. We left the DC power line attached to the solar panel, but un attached to the forest floor flux system. These leads are Alive. If anyone goes to the Tonzi site next week before I do (probably Thurs). PLEASE detach the leads from the load connectors on the solar panel regulator. You'll need a narrow screw driver to do so. An remember do not touch the open ends of those leads. Next week we need to bring the solar panel break out box, a power cable for the sonic, the pc, md9s, Temperature/RH system, a cambpell data logger (unless I can attach to the one Nancy has near the Trees) a small tower to mount the T/RH sensor and programs to run them. We should have the floor system up and going next week. Next week we need to sample leaves again. |
