Unknown plant emerging from Sherman Wetland. Looks like pepperweed but we thought that pepperweed couldn't grow in flooded conditions.

Looking west from the bouncer tower. The area under the tower was cut at the previous site visit 2 weeks ago because we thought mowing was imminent--still not mowed, though.

Lots of fuzzy white substance on the willow trees. At first glance we thought it was cattail fluff stuck in spider webs, but might be spider mites.
