Summary: Brett called to say they will start slowly flooding
| Brett, the engineer at Ducks, called to give me an update on flooding. This week they will start slowly flooding the pond by the PG&E tower south of our tower--the slow pace is to give time for the salt marsh harvest mouse to escape to higher ground. He only expects 15-30cm of water, so he's not sure if we'll even see any water at the surface at our tower. They plan to breach the outer levees in the last 2 weeks of October, after which the site will be fully tidal. He will keep me updated about the final breach date. |
