Summary: Removed solar and battery fuses, disturbed theta probe, added radiation calibration sensors
| When: Thurs 4Mar04, JD-64 Where: Tonzi/Vaira Ranches Who: Ted Hehn Weather Clear and warm. Vaira Ranch: Site down upon arrival – down for 12 days battery I/O fuse holder melted and lost continuity, the fuse was intact only the contacts were melted. Remove fuse holders on both solar input and on battery I/O. Last time the solar input fuse holder burned. Fuse holders were left on load output fused to 7.5 amp. Clean diffuse radiation sensor lens and both 4way rad sensors. Power up flux platform and LVD LED flashing red indicating depleted battery status. Stepped on of the soil moisture probes (Theta) and it was jarred loose. Reg status V=12.0, SA= 29.2 with 8 panels, remove 2 panels and amps drop to 22.6 Calibration sensors: Pyranometer: 4.90 uV/W m-2, sn 996985, Univ sn= 991007043 Net Rad: 14.1 uV/W m2, sn 021029 Par up: 5.28 umol/m2 s, sn 010164 Par Dn: 5.52 umol/m2 s, sn 010162 Vaira sensors Pyranometer: uV/W m-2, sn Net Rad: 12.3uV/W m2, sn 990353 Par up: 5.03 umol/m2 s, sn 990025 Par Dn: 5.08 umol/m2 s, sn 990031 |
